Snodderly's, as the locals call it, was originally organized as Pleasant Hill Methodist Episcopal Church on land orginally donated by the Snodderly Famly. It is located at:
1388 Hinds Creek Rd
Andersonville, TN 37705
Located in Union County, Tennessee, USA
The church was organized in 1910 with regular services held there for over 50 years. When regular services was discontinued, the trustees maintained annual Homcomings with the local community in August of each year.
The trustees have hosted various congregations and services under different names in the church since the late 1980's. For example, Walnut Grove Baptist Church, located now within a half mile down Hinds Creek started in Snodderly's Chapel. Other congregations have held regular services there for most of the years through 2022 with only a few gaps with the church being vacant.
In the summer of 2022, the current congregation then, after starting in the church for over a decade, closed, not making it through the COVID pandemic shutdowns. The church has been vacant since and the trustees are praying that another congregation would like to make this beautiful historic church thier home.

In August of 2022, the Trustees opened the church for the annual Homecoming. The attendance was the Trustees families and also those that have connections to the church over its long history. Sadly, the congregation that had made the church their home for over a decade had just closed thier doors in late spring, not making it through the COVID pandemic shutdowns. These photos show some other angles of the church property and a little fo the graveyard behind the church.
